Working with A+ Home Tutors

A+ Home Tutors is looking for experienced, talented tutors who have a passion for helping young people succeed. We provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring for students in grades K-12, college students, and even some adults. If you meet the requirements below, love to work with young people, and want a flexible way to earn some extra income, we encourage you to apply online.

What it is like working with A+ Home Tutors

• Control your own schedule, connect with bright students and help them meet their goals, and get professional support when you need it.
• We pair you up with students who match for your background, experience, and expertise.
• We give you all the information you need to lead your students to success: history, background, concern, tutoring goals, past tutoring attempts, etc.
• Experience autonomy as an independent contractor: you can apply your own style and approach to the tutoring support. There is no set tutoring curriculum. We treat you with the respect a professional tutor deserves.
• An experienced tutor mentor is always available when you need support or help.
• You accept or turn down tutoring opportunities on a case by case basis. You decide how many students you would like to take on.
• There is no penalty for turning down a tutoring opportunity. The more available you are to take on students, the more opportunities you are likely to get.

Requirements

Please make sure you meet the requirements below:

• You have earned at least a bachelor's degree or you are currently in your final semester before graduating.
• You have expertise in at least one of our subject areas (see below).
• You have experience tutoring or teaching on a formal or informal basis, and/or you have other experience working with young people (i.e. counseling, camp counselor, mentor, coach, etc).
• You love working with young people on a one-on-one basis.
• You have a reliable car for transportation.
• You can commit to tutoring until the end of the academic year (June).
